The W3C’s Newest Member

The World Wide Web Consortium, or W3C as many people call it, is a group that works on making standards for the internet. So far they have over three hundred fifty members in their group and they are still growing as more people join them all the time.

The newest group to join the W3C may come to a surprise as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, more commonly known as NASA, has joined the ranks. NASA is one of the most high tech organizations in the United States and brings a high level of technology to the table for the W3C. NASA is in full support of the open government policy that he W3C supports and believes joining the W3C will help promote their online content. In fact NASA believes that working with the W3C will help to greatly increase the level of online content and accessibility for NASA’s fans and supporters to see.

NASA is especially excited to work with the W3C because much of the technology and expertise that they bring with them will align with many of the projects that the W3C has underway. Many projects that both partners are working toward will now get done much quicker with NASA and the W3C’s cooperation with each other which will benefit everyone in the end.
